Research Analyst
Research Analyst
Summary
Ipreo is looking for Research Analysts for our Bethesda-based Research department. Join the team that maintains the industry's most comprehensive and well-respected source of intelligence on Capital Markets professionals.
This entry-level position will give Analysts first-hand exposure to the global capital markets industry. You will develop and maintain relationships with equity and fixed income investors on the Buy-Side (hedge funds, mutual funds, pension funds, etc.) and equity professionals on the Sell-Side (equity research), which will allow you to collect accurate and comprehensive information for our global roster of public company and capital markets clients.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Update and maintain an assigned universe of Buy-Side and Sell-Side institutions.
Conduct telephone interviews with Buy-Side and Sell-Side professionals.
Analyze and interpret market research data to formulate descriptions of investment strategies while will be included in buy-side and sell-side company profiles.
Research and add new institutions to the Ipreo products.
Maintain relationships with investment professionals and be the primary point of contact for the institutions we cover.
Handle client inquiries regarding Ipreo's industry-leading information.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication and persuasion skills, specifically over the telephone.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong writing skills.
Eagerness to learn about the Capital Markets industry.
Ability to multi-task and excel in a dynamic environment.
Language fluency in: English, Spanish, French, German and Italian a plus.
Education Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Majors in Business, Finance, Economics or related field a plus.
